Owl Hooter Turkey Locater Call
Replicate the sound of the barred owl to find those roosted gobblers.
How to Use your Owl Hooter Turkey Locator Call
Place the call in the hand that feels most comfortable. Hold the bottom 1/4 of the call tip in the "V" between your thumb and forefinger. Slightly wrap your thumb and forefinger around the tip while curving your other fingers to match the curve of your forefinger. Using your other hand place the thumbs together and wrap your fingers around the hand holding the call. This will form a hollow air chamber at the end of the call which will help restrict the air flow out the other end. Do not totally block off air flow. Let enough air pass between cupped fingers to produce desired tone. Press lips tightly against the large hole and blow very hard using your diaphragm muscles not your cheeks. The sound of the Barred Owl is created by blowing twice with the rhythm of "who cooks for you...who cooks for you all". If the sound is too deep, high, sort or loud experiment by loosening or tightening your cupped hand.
